DYLAN BANNISTER

Visual Artist

Dylan Bannister is a visual artist whose interdisciplinary works explore memory, nostalgia, and liminality. Bannister generates imagery by photographing common spaces, objects, and fixtures. These images then become the genesis for mixed-media artworks which highlight the beauty of the everyday.

Bannister’s practice is based in Rock Hill, SC, where he and his partner Alexis Howard share a creative space named Gentle Reminders Studio. Here they further their artist practices and connect with the city’s vibrant creative community. In January 2025, Bannister worked alongside fellow arts advocates to found ‘Keep Rock Hill Creative’ – an initiative aimed at preserving and nurturing the city’s arts and cultural scene.

Since 2022, Bannister has worked for Charlotte nonprofit ArtPop Street Gallery. As ‘Director of Inspiration Projects’ at ArtPop, he helps connect local artists with paid project opportunities while providing turnkey creative solutions to clients.
